Ashtanga Yoga in the Park Register View Cart

Ashtanga yoga was developed in Mysore India in the 1930s by Krishnamacharya.  It’s a vigorous fitness regime, rooted in the 8-limbs of the Yoga Sutras, that aims to increase physical strength and flexibility, improve breathing and calm the mind.  This 6-week session will explore the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga.  In each 75 minute session we will do Sun Salutations, standing and seated postures as well as breath control (pranayama).  Wear clothes that allow for range of motion and bring your yoga mat.  All levels of fitness are welcome!
