9:00 AM - 12:00 PM    Engineering for Kids Camps - Hardware Engineering: Get Wired with Makey Makey, Summer
At Engineering for Kids, we believe that children are natural born engineers who have unlimited imaginations and unbridled enthusiasm.  We offer fun, hands-on learning for children ages 4-12.  Our activities range from building flashlights and rockets to programming video games and robots.  The variety of programming is extraordinary.Junior Space Pioneers Camp (ages 4-7)Embark on a fun journey to space with Scratch!  Send an astronaut to the moon and defend your moon base from space rocks.  Learn how to use Scratch to create and program sprites, backdrops and basic scripts.  Create a new program each day, leave with evidence of your wild space adventure, and be inspired to explore the universe of programming as a Space Pioneer.Junior Scratch and Makey Makey Camp (ages 4-7)When your favorite song comes on the radio, do you sit quietly or do you dance around and play the air drum solo?  In Musical Adventures with Scratch and Makey Makey, we are going to explore how different sounds are created and we will create our own interpretations of common musical instruments like drums, piano, guitar and even a recorder, and we will create our very own dancing program, all through the use of Makey Makey and Scratch to bring music to life.  The last day will end with a bang, or at least a really great mini concert from all of our students.Junior Aerospace Engineering: Talking to the Skies Camp (Ages 4-7)The Junior Aerospace Engineering program introduces our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of aircraft and spacecraft design.  Through open and focused exploration, students explore and construct airplanes, rockets, hot air balloons and more.Junior Engineering of Power and Energy Camp (Ages 4-7)In the Engineering of Power and Energy, join us as we look at ways to get things moving...no batteries required.  In this program, students explore the foundational concepts of potential and kinetic energy by building their very own toys.  Additionally, students will explore natural power and energy sources such as falling water and the sun.  Get ready for a shock in this energetic and engaging engineering experience.Hardwire Engineering: Get Wired with Makey Makey (Ages 8-12)Imagine designing a piano using celery or creating a custom digital training program.  Now, envision playing video games using just your body, a bit of wire and your own imagination.  In our hardware engineering program, students engineer their own customized video game controllers using a Makey Makey device and materials that can be found in just about any kitchen.  Through application of circuitry, acoustical engineering and video game design, students discover new ways to interact with technology, all while creating unique designs in a fun, collaborative environment.Software Engineering - Scratch Video Sensing Camp (Ages 8-12)What's more fun than playing an interactive video game?  Writing one!  Video sensing allows students to design and program their own video games and then test them by interacting with the program via webcam.  In this Scratch program, students work together to create their own games, art and musical instruments while exploring coding foundations.Apprentice - The Engineering of Power and Energy Camp (Ages 8-12)Power and energy are what everything requires to move, turn on, light up and make noise.  In the Engineering of Power and Energy camp, students will break up into engineering teams and help each other to create unique ways to harness, manipulate and use energy efficiently.  Each day, students will have the chance to add a power-up light to their power and energy meter by completing that day's camp challenge.Apprentice - Out of this World Camp (Ages 8-12)Is mankind ready to inhabit the moon?  With a little help from Engineering for Kids students, humans will be prepared to take up residence by the end of the week.  Students will collaborate with their Space State teams to create the safest and most effective community on the moon.  Which team will earn enough Astro-Points to be declared the winner?  During Out of this World camp, students will explore three fields of engineering: aerospace, civil and chemical.  Collaborating with their Space State teams, they will design and construct a variety of projects that will enable mankind to safely inhabit the moon.

10:30 AM - 11:15 AM    Hip Hip Hooray USA - Hip Hip Hooray USA, Summer
Let's celebrate the USA and July 4th by creating a variety of crafts related to July 4th, using many different art supplies.

12:30 PM - 3:30 PM    Engineering for Kids Camps - Junior Scratch and Makey Makey, Summer
